Nach dem erfolgreichen Durchlauf der Train-the-Trainer Fortbildung zum Thema traumainformierte Versorgung im Rahmen des EU Projektes INTIT Integrated Trauma Informed Therapy for Child Victims of Violence kam es am 22. Mai 2022 zu einem Vertiefungstreffen der Fortbildungsinhalte in Berlin. Die Veranstaltung wurde in den Räumlichkeiten des Berliner Trägers KJHV abgehalten und brachte Fachkräfte aus den Bereichen der Kinder-und Jugendhilfe, Justiz, Polizei und Schule zusammen. Die technischen Voraussetzungen machten es möglich, dass das Treffen zu einer gelungenen Hybridveranstaltung wurde mit Zuschaltungen aus Hamburg und Schleswig-Holstein.
Im Rahmen der Vertiefungsveranstaltung ging es um Überlegungen, wie die Bereiche der Kinder-und Jugendhilfe und die Famliengerichtsbarkeit sich traumainformierter aufstellen können und welche Fortbildungsanforderungen es hierfür gäbe. Nach Auffassung der Teilnehmenden sollte eine Fortbildung zum Thema folgende Aspekte aufgreifen: Wissensvermittlung zum Thema Trauma, Entwicklung einer gemeinsamen Sprache und eines gemeinsamen Fallverstehens sowie Handlungsoptionen für traumainformiertes Handeln auch im gegebenenfalls engen Korsett der eigenen Berufsgruppe.
Die Gruppe diskutierte für die Bereiche der (Familien-) gerichtsbarkeit und der Kinder-und Jugendhilfe welche Strukturen, Prozesse und Ergebnisse es braucht, um die 6 Kernprinizipien der traumainformierten Versorgung in ihre Arbeitsbereiche zu integrieren. Nach der Diskussion konkreter Fallbeispiele ergaben sich eine Reihe von Empfehlungen für nächste Schritte hin zu einer stärkeren Traumainformiertheit: Interdisziplinäre Fallsupervisionen im Sinne einer erweiterten kollegialen Beratung, die Förderung einer offenen Fehlerkultur, eine stärkere Einbindung von Betroffenen von Trauma, Schulung von Kolleg*innen sowohl an der Basis als auch auf Leitungsebene, Sensibilisierung für das Thema der Traumainformiertheit auch in kleinen Teams.
Our goal is to learn from what has already been done, in different contexts, to improve collaboration between professionals (social workers, psychologists, pediatricians, doctors) and promote integrated intervention and trauma informed standards in the work with young victims of abuse and maltreatment.
Das 2021 verabschiedete Gesetz zur Bekämpfung sexualisierter Gewalt gegen Kinder und das Kinder-und Jugendstärkungsgesetz sind mit gewissen Qualifikationsanforderungen für Familienrichter*innen einerseits und für Fachkräfte aus dem Bereich der Kinder-und Jugendhilfe andererseits verbunden. Dementsprechend verabredeten sich die Teilnehmenden für weitere Planungstreffen in Kiel und Berlin, um das Thema der Traumainformiertheit weiter im Rahmen von Fortbildungen für diese Berufsgruppen zu vertiefen. Angeregt wurde ferner ein Fachtag zum Thema Traumainformiertheit unter Einbindung von Justiz, Traumaexpert*innen, Kinder-und Jugendhilfe und weiteren Akteur*innen des Kinderschutzes.
As a follow-up to the successful completion of the train-the-trainer course on trauma-informed care within the framework of the EU project INTIT Integrated Trauma Informed Therapy for Child Victims of Violence, an in-depth meeting on the training content was held in Berlin on 22 May 2022. The meeting was held in the premises of the Berlin-based organisation KJHV and brought together professionals from the fields of child and youth welfare, justice, police and schools. Thanks to the technical conditions, the meeting became a successful hybrid event with remote transmission from Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.
As part of the in-depth meeting, the participants considered how the areas of child and youth welfare and family jurisdiction could position themselves in a more trauma-informed way and what training requirements there would be for this. According to the participants, further training on the topic should address the following aspects: Knowledge transfer on the topic of trauma, development of a common language and a common understanding of cases as well as options for trauma-informed action even in the possibly limited framework of one’s own professional group.
Regarding the areas of (family) justice and child and youth welfare, the group discussed which structures, processes and outcomes are needed to integrate the 6 core principles of trauma-informed care into their fields of work. The subsequent discussion of concrete case studies resulted in a number of recommendations for next steps towards more trauma-informed care: Interdisciplinary case supervision in the sense of extended collegial counselling, the promotion of an open culture of error, greater involvement of trauma victims, training of colleagues both at base and management level, raising awareness of the issue of trauma-informedness even in small teams.
Both the Act to Combat Sexualised Violence against Children and the Act to Strengthen Children and Young People, which was passed in 2021, are associated with certain qualification requirements for family court judges on the one hand and for professionals from the field of child and youth welfare on the other. Accordingly, the participants agreed on further planning meetings in Kiel and Berlin to further deepen the topic of trauma-informedness within the framework of continuing education for these professional groups. Moreover, a symposium on the topic of trauma-informedness was suggested, involving the judiciary, trauma experts, child and youth welfare services and other actors in child protection.
